WINES

The goal of the Milford Bistro is to wherever possible serve local wine, cider and beer at a reasonable price point. This year the wine list will change regularly in an effort to showcase many of the 35 wineries presently producing 100% County Grapes.

The growers in the County for the most produce small quantities of wine in a very labour intensive manner as most of the wineries need to mound earth over the wines each fall to protect them from frost and then uncover them individually in the spring. This significantly adds to the cost of production and as such the wines tend to be expensive compared to large vineyards from other countries.

In order to promote the wines from our region, this year we are adopting the policy of simply adding $20 to the vineyard selling price for all wines we serve.

As well, we will offer daily this year at least 4 wines by the glass.

County bubbly will be available by the glass on weekends.
